And while workplace research remains limited\, preliminary evidence suggests that neurodiverse teams exhibit 30% greater levels of productivity than others. So why do corporations still struggle to recruit and retain this overlooked population\, and what can business leaders do to change that?  \nActivating the true potential of your workforce means understanding and championing the individual situations of every employee. More and more companies are looking to add neurodiversity inclusion to their DEI strategy to combat the talent shortage and create more equitable workplaces so women—and everyone—can thrive.  \nJoin this webinar to hear our panel of experts discuss:  \n\nHow senior leaders can model empathetic leadership and authenticity to encourage\, \n\n\nThe invaluable role of people managers in creating safe and supportive dialogues for neurodiverse employees\, and \n\n\nWhy workplaces that actively support neurodiversity inclusion are more productive. \n\nNote: Please log in to the website with your Catalyst Supporter organization email to access registration. Supporting Menopause in the Workplace DESCRIPTION:Worldwide\, there are roughly 300+ million working women aged 45-59 who are impacted by menopause. While attitudes and stigma around menopause vary across regions\, one thing is clear: workplaces need to do more to support employees going through it.  \nUpcoming research from Catalyst highlights that more than one-third of women employees say their menopause symptoms negatively impact work performance. The cost? An estimated $1.8 billion per year in the US alone.   \nThe question for HR and talent leaders isn’t whether to provide support for employees going through perimenopause and menopause\, it’s how quickly they can meet the demand: 84% of employees globally agree that workplaces need to do more. The door is open for smart\, inclusive business leaders to break the stigma of menopause at work and build a corporate culture and benefits structure that encourages authenticity\, dialogue\, and support.  \nJoin this webinar to hear our panel of experts discuss:  \n\nThe importance of destigmatizing menopause in the workplace and opening the door to empathetic dialogues between managers and reports. \n\n\nHow to build an organizational culture that offers support for common challenges of menopause. \n\n\nWhy building resource structures for employees with menopause benefits every employee at every level of the organization. \n\nSpeakers\n \nKomel Caruso\, Co-Founder and COO\, HerMD \n \nAlicia Grandey\, Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology; Penn State University \n \nRebekah Heaven\, Global Head – Future of Work & Advocacy Strategy\, Standard Chartered \nModerator\n \nJanet Piper\, Senior Director\, Supporter Success\, Catalyst \nCatalyst is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. Ryan and Alexander Haslam) is the idea that even when women reach the top of the corporate ladder\, they do so during periods when the company experiences poor performance or turmoil\, and thus their positions are inherently risky. When women of color\, especially Black women\, experience the glass cliff they face even more scrutiny\, aggression\, and lack of empathy\, making it harder for them to perform at their full potential as leaders. \nIn this session\, our panel of experts examined: \n\nThe origins of the glass cliff\nWhy organizations may be more likely to offer high-level positions to women in times of turmoil\nThe experiences of Black women in leadership roles with the glass cliff\nStrategies that organizations can implement to support and retain Black women at every level\n\nThis watch session included a chat moderated by Kathrina Robotham\, Jenn Wells\, EdD and Danielle Shelton\, Director\, Talent Acquisition People & Culture. \nLearn more about the glass cliff and women of color on our blog. \nRead more insights from the webinar here. \nSpeakers\n  \n \nJanice Gassam Asare\, PhD.\, DEI Consultant and Author of Decentering Whiteness in the Workplace \n \nProf. Farai Simoyi\, Professor & Founder\, The Narativ House \n \nJenn Wells\, EdD\, Organizational Change Consultant. \nModerator\n \nKathrina Robotham\, Director\, Research\, Catalyst \n\n\n\nFor questions\, please contact catalystevents@catalyst.org.\n\n\nCatalyst is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. But funneling that support into a single month\, without further culture and structure change\, can leave employees feeling unsafe\, unseen\, and left behind. In 2022\, the Center for American Progress found that half of LGBTQ+ adults reported discriminatory experiences due to their identity—consistent with a UCLA study finding that more than one-third (34.2%) of LGBTQ+ employees have left a job due to such treatment by their employer.   \nThis alarming data signals an opportunity for inclusive business leaders to elevate their policies around LGBTQ+ inclusion from performative to genuine. Doing so puts companies on the path to building workplaces that address discrimination head-on\, both because it’s a smart business strategy and because it’s the right thing to do.  \nJoin this webinar to hear our panel of experts discuss:  \n\nWhy performative policies lead to a decrease in employee trust\, team performance\, employee productivity\, and retention.\nHow leaders can implement genuine policies that make real change and build trust for LGBTQ+ employees.\nThe impact senior leaders modeling true allyship has toward advancing LGBTQ+ equity.\n\nSpeakers \n \nBobby Gale\, Director\, Analytical and Data Platforms\, Loblaw Companies Ltd. But that wage gap can very wildly among subgroups of AANHPI women. For example\, Bhutanese women in the United States were paid less than half (49%) of their white male peers’ earnings — a net loss of almost 1.5 million dollars over the course of a 40-year career.  \nOvercoming the dual hurdles of racial and gender bias in pay may seem like a tall order\, but acknowledging the issue provides organizations with an exciting opportunity to evaluate their own pay gaps and advance the mission of workplace equity from multiple angles and perspectives.
